Press Section

The Press Office of the Public Affairs Section is the primary point of contact between the media and the Consulate. The Press Office issues official statements and provides information to the media. It also arranges all media interactions with American officials and consulate officers, including press conferences, briefings and interviews.

On a daily basis, the office makes available, electronic and hard copy informational packets such as the Washington File (a compilation of U.S. press reports) in both English and Arabic, press releases and statements issued by high-level government officials. The press office answers media queries on U.S. government-related issues.
